Safely managing the occurrence of static electricity during FIBC filling- and emptying operations is a critical concern in the industry. Static discharges from an FIBC can range from operator shocks to those capable of igniting flammable gases, vapours and dust. By using an FIBC, with static protective properties, the risk of a hazardous static discharge is significantly reduced.

It is of major importance that the FIBC is grounded before filling or discharging.
